Sunday morning after church, Ryan and I were watching the CBS Sunday morning early show [aside: I don't know why NBC was showing infomercials and not the Today show] listening to drivel about CD box sets by Donovan [aside2: He said "Mellow Yellow" is not about smoking banana peels... good heavens...] and good book-gifts for the holidays. Then Ben Stein came on and his dry voice and dry humor drew us both to the couch to watch and listen. What he said made me laugh and think, so here is the link, if you want to watch the clip:

It was nice to watch the little tree drop it's leaves and the dancing kiddos... =) It's refreshing to know, that for me at least, Christmas doesn't have to be too complicated...
